1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting our website or booking catering services with Ahava Catering, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to the following Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, please do not use this site or our services.
These Terms govern your use of our website and all quotes, proposals, invoices, and catering services provided by Ahava Catering, LLC.
Additional written agreements or event contracts may supplement these Terms.
2. Services and Website Content
Our website is intended to provide general information about our catering services and to facilitate communication with potential and existing clients.
All content on the site—including text, menus, images, and design—is the property of Ahava Catering, LLC or used with permission and may not be copied or redistributed without consent.
3. Quotes, Proposals, and Pricing
Quotes are based on the details you provide and are subject to change depending on final headcount, menu selections, staffing needs, rentals, or ingredient costs.
Ingredient availability may vary; we reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions with notice.
All quotes are valid for a limited time, typically 30 days, unless otherwise stated.
4. Booking, Payments, and Refund Policy
To confirm your event, Ahavá Catering requires a signed agreement and an initial payment amount to be determined based on the event size and scope. This payment secures your event date and allows us to begin planning and preparations.
Unless otherwise specified in writing, the general payment structure is:
An initial payment due at booking to hold the date (amount determined at the time of agreement).
A partial payment due prior to the event, with the remaining balance due before service.
Failure to make payments as agreed may result in cancellation.
Cancellations by Client
We understand that plans sometimes change. Cancellations will be handled with understanding and fairness, taking into account any costs already incurred (such as food orders, staff scheduling, or event preparation).
When possible, we’ll offer partial refunds or credit toward a future event if notice is provided in advance.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll make every reasonable effort to move your booking to a new date within six months, subject to availability.
Payments made will be applied to the new date; however, additional costs may apply if perishable items or event-specific materials have already been purchased.
Cancellations by Ahavá Catering
If we must cancel for reasons within our control, all payments made will be refunded in full.
If cancellation is due to circumstances beyond our control (such as weather, emergencies, or other force majeure events), we will work in good faith to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund payments minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred.
5. Final Headcount and Event Changes
Your final headcount is due 10 days before the event.
Increases after that date may be accommodated if possible and billed accordingly.
Reductions after the final headcount date are not refundable.
6. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate event details, including venue access, setup times, and site rules.
Ensure safe and sanitary working conditions (adequate lighting, shelter, power, water, etc.).
Obtain any required permits, approvals, or venue authorizations.
Be responsible for guests’ conduct and for any venue-related fees or damages not caused by us.
7. Venue and Third-Party Vendors
Ahava Catering, LLC is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of any third-party vendors, contractors, or service providers—including but not limited to bartenders, rental companies, entertainment, florists, photographers, or venues—whether they are engaged directly by you or referred by us as a courtesy.
We do not supervise or control third-party personnel and assume no liability for their actions, negligence, or compliance with laws, including alcohol service, food handling, or venue policies.
You agree to hold Ahava Catering, LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to third-party or venue activities, restrictions, or conditions beyond our control.
8. Food Safety and Allergen Disclosure
We take dietary preferences and food sensitivities seriously.
However, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Our kitchen and catering operations may handle common allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, fish, and shellfish.
Please notify us in writing of any allergies or severe sensitivities when requesting your quote or confirming your menu.
While we will take all reasonable precautions, guests with severe allergies should exercise their own judgment and caution.
Ahava Catering, LLC is not liable for adverse reactions resulting from food allergies or sensitivities.
9. Photos, Testimonials, and Marketing Use
By booking services, you grant Ahavá Catering, LLC permission to take photos of food, décor, and the event atmosphere, which may include guests dining or participating in the event. These images may be used for marketing, website, social media, and portfolio purposes in a tasteful and respectful manner.
We do not require individual permission from every guest for event-atmosphere photography. If you, your family, or specific guests prefer not to appear in photos, please notify us before the event and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.
You may request removal of any specific image or testimonial at any time by contacting sonia@ahavacateringco.com.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather, natural disasters, fires, or floods
Illness, accident, or sudden staff shortages
Power outages or equipment failures
Government restrictions, transportation disruptions, or other emergencies
In such cases, both parties will work together in good faith to reschedule the event or adjust services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ahava Catering, LLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of services provided is limited to the amount you paid for those services.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or enjoyment, arising from website use or catering services.
12. Website Use
You agree not to:
